The San Francisco Seals faced a tough opponent in Boston pitcher Sam Blackstone, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Rebels Park by a final score of 6-4. Blackstone went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Ron Anderson closed out the game, earning his 17th save. After today's action, San Francisco sits at 51-67; Boston slips to 58-60.
Byron Brown came through with a big-time hit for San Francisco. The shortstop smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Brown.
