The St. Charles Sheens got a superb performance from pitcher David Crawford. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Irvine. The Gang Green won the game, 3-1. Crawford threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. Rich Cervantes converted his 29th save in 32 tries. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Gang Green.

Irvine used a timely hit from Sherman Gray to get the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Gang Green ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"We put together a nice win," Gray said.
