Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Wave
Irvine got a terrific performance from pitcher Salvador Ramos, but it wasn't enough to beat the Maui Wave. Maui won the The Ballpark at Irvine contest, 4-0. Ramos threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Reliever Matt Reed picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Rich Cervantes took the loss. The Gang Green fall to 5-8 and continue their lackluster start in 2051.

Maui used the timely hitting of Kelly White to capture the win. The left fielder socked a solo home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Wave ahead, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said White. "And not try to do too much."
