8-3 Loss to Wave Extends Chicago Losing Streak
The Maui Wave beat the Chicago Machine, 8-3, at Old Comiskey Park. Maui center fielder Jason Williams had an outstanding performance. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Maui pitcher Nick Kudo got the win, upping his record to 2-0. George Hall got the loss. Chicago is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.

Maui used the bat of Homer Laslett to capture the win. The shortstop jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Wave ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

"We came out aggressive," said Wave manager José Betancourt. "We came out swinging the bats."
