St. Louis and Irvine duked it out and the Browns came out victorious.
Starting pitcher Roberto Reyes fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the St. Louis Browns stymie the Irvine Gang Green, 3-0. Bob Graham was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 39 of 42 save opportunities.
Reyes allowed no runs on 3 hits over 8 innings for St. Louis. With the win, the southpaw is 9-7 with an ERA of 4.22.
"Roberto had good arm action, good stuff," said St. Louis manager José Mora.
