Cudlip goes 4-for-4, Admirals Move to 81-48
|
At Greener Pastures, the Lubbock Green Sox and Seattle Admirals were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Seattle Admirals downed the Lubbock Green Sox, 8-4, at Greener Pastures. Mark Cudlip led the way, going 4-for-4 for Seattle. Vic Niekro got credit for the win, improving to 12-7. He allowed 3 runs on 6 hits in 6.2 innings.
With Seattle leading 2-1 in the top of the sixth, Cudlip hit a slider from Alco Krook for a 2-run home run. It was his 25th home run of the season and put the Admirals ahead, 4-1.
"We took home the win," said Cudlip. "What's not to like?"
Seattle, at 81-48, is 14 games up in the Earth Division.
