Irvine Gets 7-4 Win
Juan Sánchez had a good game, but he could not keep the New York Knights from falling, 7-4, to the Irvine Gang Green at Bronx Municipal Park. The New York shortstop was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Johnny Tatum picked up the win, lifting his record to 15-7 on the season. He struck out 5 and walked 1 in 6 innings, while yielding 4 runs. Pedro Sacratini earned the save, his 3rd.

Irvine used a well-timed hit by Jason MacDonald to capture the win. The designated hitter socked a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Gang Green ahead, 6-4. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said MacDonald.

Irvine has run its win streak to 8 straight.
