Irvine Hot Streak Continues with 3-1 Win
|
The Irvine Gang Green picked up a win at Bronx Municipal Park, courtesy of Luis López. The right-hander helped his team stop the New York Knights, 3-1. The winning continues for Irvine, with the latest triumph making it 9 straight.
Irvine used the hitting of Estanislau Gandarei to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Gang Green on top, 2-0. For the game, Gandarei had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"Luis pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Irvine manager David Adams.
