Calrissian Take Down Eagles, 6-5
|
The Orlando Calrissian turned back the Houston Eagles, 6-5, at Mel Fields. Austin Balderas, in particular, had a fine performance. He went 4-6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Orlando's record now stands at 59-77, placing them 5th in the Fire Division.
The game came to an abrupt end with two out in the bottom of the 12th. On a pitch from Juan Gonzáles, Jeff Miller hit a run-scoring single. It gave Orlando the 6-5 win.
"This place was rocking at the end," Miller said.
