Meatballs Pull Out Late Win, 4-3

Sausalito and St. Charles duked it out and the Meatballs came out victorious.
The St. Charles Sheens could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Mike Miller into a win. Instead, the Sausalito Meatballs prevailed, 4-3. Miller threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The loss drops the Sheens to 7-8.
Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Alberto Flores? The 32-year old second baseman Flores stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Sausalito up, 4-3. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Sausalito manager Michael Cook.
