The Charm City Baysox trumped the Charleston RubberDucks, 8-4, at Prince George's Stadium. Charm City first baseman John Church was terrific. He went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Leon bin Jamal al Din came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now stands at 2-0. Earning his 40th save of the year was Eduardo López.
Eric Tucker dealt the RubberDucks a blow in the bottom of the first. Batting with the bases loaded and Charm City trailing 1-0, Tucker, who finished 2nd in the BSA in stolen bases with 49 in 2041, hit a 2-1 slider for a 2-run single.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Church told the Charm City Citizen.
This win makes it 5 in a row for Charm City.
