With 7-1 Win, Admirals Improve to 84-58
|
Seattle third baseman Manny Erenado was instrumental in helping the Admirals triumph, 7-1, over the Oklahoma City Outlaws. Erenado went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Jesús Chávez, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7. His record now stands at 11-7. The Admirals, at 84-58, lead by one game in their division.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Erenado hit a 3-run home run. It thrust the Admirals into the lead, 4-1.
"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Erenado.
