Wave Beat Boston, 6-5
|
The Maui Wave topped the Boston Rebels by a score of 6-5. Leading the way was center fielder Jason Williams. Williams slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Wave. The winner in relief was Nathan Dailey. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 1-1. The Heart Division-leading Wave have a record of 85-58.
Williams had a timely hit for Maui in the bottom of the eighth. With Boston trailing 5-4, he turned a 2-1 fastball into a 2-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season, making it 6-5, Maui.
