D-Bags Bridle Foxes, 4-2
|
The Manchester Foxes got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Mancina. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Jersey Shore. The D-Bags won the game, 4-2. Mancina threw 5.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Jesús Benítez came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Foxes, now 4-10, continue their sluggish start.
Early in the game, left fielder Gene Dressler had a 2-run double for Jersey Shore. It was his 4th double of the season and put the D-Bags on top, 2-1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Dressler.
