Fans watched the Maui Wave and the Irvine Gang Green fight to the finish.
The Maui Wave did just enough to secure a victory over the Irvine Gang Green, 3-2, at Rainbow Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Wilbur Miles. Miles picked up the win for Maui, going 5.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 14-9.
Anthony Tucker, who is a four-time All-Star, contributed to the Maui win with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Miles said.
Maui now has a 3-game win streak.
