Minnesota parlayed a decent outing from starter Enrique Macías into a solid win over the Mexico City Luchadores. The final score was 3-2. Minnesota, at 75-74, sits in second place in the Water Division.
The climactic moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Minnesota. That's when 21-year old third baseman Wade Catron hit a solo home run off Darryl Day to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.
"It's a mindset," said Macías. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
