Browns Earn 4-3 Win Against Rebels
|
St. Louis third baseman Alonso Acosta played a vital role in his team's 4-3 triumph over Boston. He went 2 for 5 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for St. Louis. Wes López was credited with the save, his 7th in 11 tries. With the win, St. Louis raised its record to 90-61.
The game was all tied up in the top of the 11th, until Acosta delivered big-time for St. Louis, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off James Horton. The game-changing hit put the Browns on top, 4-3.
After the game, St. Louis manager Rob King applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
