Greenville 84's starter Gertrudes Remgio found his groove in his team's 2-1 win over the Cozumel Reef Divers. Remgio picked up the win for Greenville, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Herman Banks earned the save for Greenville, his 45th of the year.
The 84's got a big at-bat from right fielder Aurélio Sabbo. For the game, Sabbo went 1-4 with a triple. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 2nd triple of the season gave Greenville a 1-0 lead.
"Tough loss," said Cozumel manager Kel Meyer. "This one will sting for a while."
With the win, the 84's sit at 81-72.
