Sheens Rally For 6-4 Win
|
Dave Engleman had a good game, but he could not keep the Kansas City Kings from falling, 6-4, to the St. Charles Sheens at Kings Ball Park. The Kansas City designated hitter went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. Picking up his 21st save was 26-year old right-handed pitcher Alfred Molina. The victory makes St. Charles 52-102.
The most important at-bat for St. Charles came in the top of the ninth inning, when shortstop Francisco Martínez stroked a 0-1 cutter to left for a 2-run single, putting St. Charles up, 6-4.
"We'll take some time to unwind," said Martínez, "and then get after it again."
