With shortstop Alberto Molina leading the charge, the St. Louis Browns defeated the Orlando Calrissian, 7-4, at Mel Fields. Molina went 2-5 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. St. Louis is in third place in the Fire Division with a record of 91-65.
St. Louis grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Molina hit a 3-run home run off Ralph Turner. His 17th home run of the season put the Browns out in front, 3-1.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Molina.
