A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the London Rippers and Dallas Steers.

The London Rippers beat the Dallas Steers, 8-2, at Seabreeze Stadium. Alain Genty, in particular, was impressive. He was 3-3 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6. The winner was Richard Fitzgerald, who threw 90 pitches over 7 innings. The left-hander was charged with 2 runs on 5 hits.

In the first inning, Genty had a 3-run home run for London. It was his 45th home run of the season and put the Rippers on top, 3-0.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Genty.

The 5th-place Rippers lifted their record to 74-81.
