Minnesota North Stars starter Tuo-zhou Er was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the St. Charles Sheens, 3-1. Er got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Er allowed 1 run. Ralph Seals recorded his 7th save for Minnesota.
Minnesota used a well-timed hit by Dylan Hicks to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the North Stars ahead, 2-1. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"I had everything working," said Er.
Early on, the North Stars, at 12-4, have piled up the wins.
