The SoCal Blue Crew knocked off the Nashville G-Strings, 7-3, in Baseball Stars Association action at Blue Crew Park. SoCal pitcher and Orem, Utah, native Juan Escalante had an outstanding performance. In 6 innings, Escalante surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run. SoCal is off to a sluggish start, getting just their 6th win in 17 games.

Juan Sánchez had a big 2-run home run for the Blue Crew in the bottom of the third inning. With SoCal leading 2-1 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Bartolo Bojórquez, who is a two-time All-Star, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Blue Crew on top, 4-1.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Sánchez told the SoCal Bulletin.
