Coalition Score Late to Nip Green Sox, 4-3
The Columbus Coalition picked up a win at Greener Pastures, taking down the Lubbock Green Sox, 4-3. Starting pitcher Wes Slaughter was a big reason why. The win belonged to Carlos Cabrera in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Nathan Roberts took the loss for Lubbock. The Green Sox fall to 7-9 and continue their uneven start to the 2054 season.

Columbus took a 3-2 lead on Michael Belden's 6th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Belden hit in the top of the ninth, left Lubbock pitcher Nathan Roberts visibly frustrated.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Slaughter.
