Admirals Upend Green Sox, 4-0
|
Jesús Chávez never let Lubbock get something going. The Seattle right-hander commanded his changeup in pitching the Admirals to a 4-0 win. The first-place Admirals, at 111-49, lead the Earth Division by 14 games.
Seattle used the hitting of Nap Delahanty to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Admirals on top, 4-0. For the game, Delahanty had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"The only difference is executing pitches and not executing pitches," said Chávez. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
