Admirals Deal Coalition 8-6 Defeat
|
Seattle and Columbus met in a late-season matchup.
Columbus second baseman Rob Lang had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 8-6, to Seattle at Agent 47 Field. Lang went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Seattle reliever Joe Wither got the win, raising his record to 5-3. Carlos Cabrera was tagged with the loss.
Seattle needed the clutch hitting of Carl Sexton to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Admirals on top, 8-6. For the game, Sexton had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Sexton.
The win makes Seattle 95-66.
