3-2 Loss Extends Greenville Losing Streak
|
The Seattle Admirals got a good effort from starter Jesús Chávez in defeating the Greenville 84's at Michigan & Trumbull. The final score was 3-2. The winning pitcher was Chávez, now 15-9. He tossed 5 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Seattle has now won 4 straight.
Seattle won the game in part because of Willie Roundtree. The first baseman ripped a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Admirals ahead, 3-1. For the game, Roundtree had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"Jesús never lets off the gas," said Seattle manager Pedro Faboila. "Good, bad, or ugly, he never gives in."
