Browns Edge London in Pitching Duel
|
The London Rippers and St. Louis Browns provided some drama for the home crowd.
In a low-scoring game between the St. Louis Browns and the London Rippers, pitcher Roberto Reyes was masterful on the mound. The St. Louis right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. St. Louis pitcher Eddie Baker got the win. He's now 1-0. Brendon MacAlduie was tagged with the loss.
Simon Ash, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2045 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Ash contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put St. Louis up, 1-0.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Ash.
St. Louis, at 13-3, is off to a blistering start.
