Shohei Nakamura exploded for a barrage of base hits at County Stadium.

The Gilbert catcher had a field day in his team's 17-11 triumph over the Indiana Hounds, finishing 6-for-6.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Nakamura must have focused at least 6 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Shohei Nakamura doubled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
