Good production from center fielder Bill Taylor helped the St. Louis Browns topple the London Rippers, 9-3. Taylor went 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Browns. Ramón Longoria picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 3-0. Bob Graham picked up the save, his 1st.

Early in the game, catcher Luis Miguel Martínez had a 2-run home run for St. Louis. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Browns on top, 2-0.
