Despite a fine performance by left fielder Kelly White, the Maui Wave lost to the Irvine Gang Green, 8-7. White went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Thomas Douglas, now 3-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Irvine goes to 10-10.

Irvine won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. With no outs and David Ramsey on the mound for Maui, second baseman Sixto Peña hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Gang Green fans to their feet.

Peña said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
