Wet weather did not postpone the Nashville-London ballgame.
Bartolo Bojórquez, who is tied for 3rd in the BSA in strikeouts with 42, was locked in. The left-hander led the Nashville G-Strings to a 5-4 win against the London Rippers at Old Comiskey Park. Bojórquez picked up the win for Nashville, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0.
Andrew Swiger had a big 2-run home run for the G-Strings in the top of the eighth inning. With Nashville leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from fireballing right-hander Jason Sullivan and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the G-Strings on top, 5-0.
"The clubhouse can get insufferable after we lose, so I'm glad we pulled this one out today," Swiger told the Nashville Bulletin.
The win gives Nashville a record of 15-7.
