Irvine second baseman Alex Brown contributed to his team's 5-4 win over the Maui Wave. Brown, who is tied for 4th in the BSA in triples with 2, went 3 for 3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Gang Green. Jorge Cossutta went 5.1 innings for Irvine to pick up the win. The left-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9. His record improves to 3-0. The loss makes Maui 8-13.

In the bottom of the third inning, right fielder Mauro Trejo came through big-time for the Gang Green. With Irvine trailing 3-0, he belted a 3-run home run.
