It was a great day at the plate for Cy Barnard. For his Trenton Stars, the day was not nearly as good.

The left fielder collected 5 hits in 6 tries, but his club still came up short in the win column. The Union Township Sodbusters snatched the victory, topping the Stars by a score of 12-11.

"Well that wasn't how it was supposed to end," Barnard said later. "I'll just have to do it again and get it right."

Cy Barnard hit a two-run home run off Mike Crawford in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

For the season, Barnard is hitting at a .349 clip with 10 home runs, 35 RBIs and has scored 44 runs. He has 60 hits, 14 walks and a .399 on-base percentage.
