Gang Green Get Past Maui for 6-5 Win
The Irvine Gang Green weathered an outstanding game by Maui left fielder Kelly White to topple the Wave, 6-5. White went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Irvine pitcher Thomas Douglas got the win, upping his record to 4-2. Kevin Clark got the loss. The Wave, now 8-14, continue their slow start.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the ninth, with Irvine trailing 5-4, Sixto Peña jumped on a first pitch fastball from Kevin Clark for a 2-run home run, sending the Gang Green to a walk-off win.

"This joint was rocking," said Peña.
