Ridin' High: White Hits for Cycle
It was a special day for Kevin White at Trenton Stadium -- the Indiana Hounds catcher hit for the cycle, getting every type of hit possible.

The 23-year-old White racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to etch his name in the history books. It was all for naught, however, as the Hounds didn't win the ballgame, dropping the decision to the Trenton Stars, 11-8.

"He hit everything we threw," said Trenton manager Doug Willard. "There was just no getting him out today."

For the game, he was 4-for-5 with 4 runs batted in and 1 run scored.

"I'm glad for Kevin," Indiana manager Ted Armstrong said. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime thing and a nice feather in his cap. Would've been better if we could have won the game for him, too."

Speaking to the press after the game, White said the key for his record-setting day was "just getting some good pitches to hit."

Kevin White hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Keith Gilbert in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

So far this year, White is batting .340 with 11 home runs, 37 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
