Coalition Drop Seals, 4-1, with Late Score
|
The 4-1 Columbus win over San Francisco was due largely to Michael Belden. The Coalition right fielder was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Picking up the save was two-time All-Star Dan Daley. The Seals fall to 10-15 and continue their rocky start to the 2054 season.
Belden had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Héctor Ángel, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Coalition a 4-1 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Belden.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Belden.
