The Fort Worth Cougars picked up a win at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace, taking down the Yonkers Yetis, 8-1. Starting pitcher Melvin Scott was a big reason why. The loss has the Yetis at 9-16.

Scott made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 7 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Fort Worth right-hander encountered little resistance from the Yonkers hitters. His season record is now 4-1.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Scott told the Fort Worth Times.
