The performance of Jasiel Briceno proved critical in helping Greenville beat Jersey Shore, 11-2. The 84's first baseman belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Norman MacDonald picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits, while walking 0 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 3-1. With the loss, Jersey Shore drops to 14-14.

Ienobu Suzuki had a big 2-run triple for the 84's in the top of the third inning. With Greenville trailing 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 31-year old right-handed pitcher Michael Swanson and swatted a triple to left. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the 84's ahead, 2-1.

"This is one game in a long season," said losing manager Tim Fulgham. "The sooner we can forget about it, the better."
