Matt Green really did a number on the Vancouver Vipers at Burns Field -- and that number was zero.

The Waco Blue Cats hurler had what he later called "one of the best moments of my life," tossing a no-hitter and leading the Blue Cats to victory, 6-0.

"This is something special," Green said. "I knew from the fifth inning that I had a no-hitter working. I tried to get it out of my mind, but you just can't. They have too many scoreboards in the park. They're everywhere you look."

The left-hander faced only 31 batters in the no-hit gem, struck out 9 and walked 3.

"We simply couldn't get any wood on the ball," Vancouver manager James Edwards said when asked about the epic performance. "Green was brilliant out there. He certainly had our number."

To date he has nailed down 0 saves for his club. In no relief appearances, Green has 104 strikeouts in 107 innings with a 4.63 ERA and a 8-6 mark.
