Carlos Díaz was at the head of a Minneapolis hit parade today at The Lair in Charlotte. The first baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Millers to a 12-10 victory over the Amarillo Archdukes.

"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Díaz told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."

Archdukes skipper Nick Metcalf said later that the club gave up "too much plate."

"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."

Carlos Díaz singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Mitchell Stevens in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a two-run home run off José Ledezma in the 8th.

Currently Díaz is batting .340 with 39 home runs, 98 RBIs and 93 runs scored.
