The St. Louis Browns beat the Montreal Royales, 5-1, at Gateway Stadium. Starting pitcher Roberto Reyes was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Reyes picked up the win for St. Louis, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-0. St. Louis has an impressive 28-8 record.

Simon Ash had a big solo home run for the Browns in the bottom of the fourth inning. With St. Louis leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Víctor Sánchez, who finished 2nd in the BSA in wins with 19 in 2052, and punished it. The result was his 6th home run of the season, which put the Browns on top, 2-0.
