Sheens Take Tight Tangle
|
The St. Charles Sheens picked up a win at Crown Royal Stadium, downing the Seattle Admirals, 1-0. On the mound for St. Charles was right-hander David Crawford, who played a pivotal role in the win. St. Charles has won 5 consecutive games.
Had Gabriel Torres not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Torres hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Sheens.
"Nice to keep stacking the wins," said Crawford.
