The Dallas Steers faced a tough opponent in Nashville pitcher Matt Mathieu, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Gibson Guitar Park by a final score of 3-2. Mathieu went 6.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Dallas reliever Brian Watson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Matt Mathieu absorbed the loss. Bernard Cháves closed the door for Dallas, picking up his 9th save of the year.

Dallas used a clutch hit from Claudio Ramos to get the win. The catcher drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Steers ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Ramos.

The win gives Dallas a season record of 24-15.
