Boston Loses, 8-4, Despite Cruz Performance
|
The St. Louis Browns defeated the Boston Rebels, 8-4. Doing his part was third baseman Felipe Cruz, who was 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. St. Louis has an impressive 29-11 record.
The Browns got a big at-bat from third baseman Alonso Acosta. For the game, Acosta was 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 7th double of the season gave St. Louis a 5-4 lead.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Acosta told the St. Louis Daily.
