Spirited fans greeted the Cozumel Reef Divers for their clash with the Irvine Gang Green.

The Irvine Gang Green converted a terrific effort from starter Dave Ramey into a win over the Cozumel Reef Divers at The Island Ballpark. The Gang Green won the game by a final score of 6-1. Ramey, now 1-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 5, and allowing 1 run.

Irvine relied on the bat of José Piña to get the win. The left fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gang Green ahead, 3-1. For the game, Piña had 1 double and 1 triple in 5 at-bats.

"When Dave is on, he can really move the ball around," said Irvine manager Nicoláo Gericota.

Irvine now has a record of 22-17 with the win.
