Kings Rally to Nose Past Dallas
Despite a fine performance by second baseman José Acevedo, the Dallas Steers lost to the Kansas City Kings, 8-7, in 13 innings. Acevedo went 5-6 with 3 doubles and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Gregory McClellan, who finished 5th in the BSA in strikeouts with 261 in 2048, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Weldon Tupper notched his 1st save of the season.

Mike Brown came through with a big-time hit for Kansas City. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the 13th inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Brown. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."

Kansas City bumps their record to 25-16 with the win.
