St. Louis third baseman Ralph Gary helped his team beat the London Rippers, 8-6. Gary, the 10th overall pick in the 2049 draft, went 3 for 4 for the Browns. Rick Wortham, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-2. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 3 and walking 2. St. Louis goes to 34-11. The win puts them 5½ games up in their division.

Claude Rowland, who is a three-time All-Star, took London hurler Jaime Rodríguez deep in the bottom of the first. His 3-run home run put the Browns on top, 3-0. In all, Rowland had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Rowland.
