Bentley Batters San Francisco Big Time
|
No matter what the San Francisco Seals threw at him today, Lucas Bentley hit it. He easily handled Seals pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the 84's to a 8-2 triumph at Michigan & Trumbull.
"The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Bentley's quip, Seals skipper Kenny Stevens said he "would take him up on that next time."
Lucas Bentley singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Tom England in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
Thus far this season Bentley has hit .291 with 8 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 19 times.
