Green Sox Prevail, 5-3, Over St. Charles
|
The St. Charles Sheens got a superb performance from left fielder Mike Carver, but the Lubbock Green Sox still won the game, 5-3. Carver went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for Lubbock.
Jesse Callahan, the four-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Callahan contributed a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put Lubbock up, 4-2.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Callahan. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
